HCC Power Rankings 4/27/2026

1. Noblesville (9–6, 5–1 HCC) — 64.69

Noblesville holds the top spot this week, but not by knockout—more by consistency.

A 5–1 HCC record and +4.00 average conference run differential give them the strongest overall conference profile right now. They’ve done a good job controlling games and avoiding slip-ups, which is more than most teams can say in a volatile HCC landscape.

They’re the team to beat today—but not by a wide margin.

2. Westfield (7–6–1, 4–2 HCC) — 53.86

Westfield remains right in the mix, sitting just one game back in conference play.

The +3.00 average HCC run differential shows they’re competing at a high level, even if the overall record doesn’t jump off the page. This is still very much a top-tier team with a legitimate shot at the conference.

3. Zionsville (8–7, 2–4 HCC) — 43.59

Zionsville continues to be one of the most debated teams in the conference.

The talent is there and the underlying metrics are solid, but the 2–4 HCC record is hard to ignore. For now, they stay in the upper tier due to overall profile and preseason expectations—but the pressure is mounting for results to follow.

4. Avon (7–6–1, 3–3 HCC) — 38.62

Avon is trending in the right direction and starting to look like a team that could disrupt the top tier.

The Orioles get a boost after dominating Hamilton Southeastern, but the question remains—can they sustain it? This is a group that has shown it can produce offensively, but consistency across multiple weeks will determine whether they continue to climb.

5. Hamilton Southeastern (11–4, 4–2 HCC) — 36.01

Hamilton Southeastern’s overall record stands out, but their ranking reflects a more complicated picture.

Despite going 4–2 in conference play, a -2.17 HCC run differential suggests they’ve been living closer to the edge than their record indicates. They’re winning—but not always convincingly.

Still, at 11–4, they remain firmly in the conversation.

6. Fishers (7–9, 3–3 HCC) — 33.83

Fishers might be the most dangerous .500 team in the conference.

They’ve split with Noblesville, Westfield, and Zionsville—proving they can compete with anyone at the top. A strong strength of schedule and strength of record reinforce that.

The issue? Consistency. Until the overall results catch up, they sit just outside the top tier.

7. Brownsburg (3–6, 2–4 HCC) — 21.02

Brownsburg has struggled to string together wins, particularly in conference play.

There have been flashes, but the overall profile hasn’t been enough to push them into the middle tier.

8. Franklin Central (5–8, 1–5 HCC) — 3.75

Franklin Central rounds out the rankings.

A tough run through conference play and a -4.17 HCC run differential highlight the challenges they’ve faced so far this season.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a clear favorite in the HCC…

You’re still not going to find one.

What you will find is:

  • A tightly packed top tier

  • A volatile middle where teams can beat anyone on a given day

  • A conference race that is far from settled

The second half of the season is heating up—and this week’s Noblesville vs. Westfield matchup could start to shape what comes ne
